Meeting Summary. . .
Kathy Gleason reported: Glenn McArdle, Director of Operations for iMechanics|powered by SecurePRO, accompanied by Jason (Julian?), were a big hit with folks in attendance! Glenn talked about the history of iMechanics, the company’s services and resources (see footnote below) and shared some Apple trivia as well as. According to Kathy Gleason the presentation included a lively discussion with everyone learning a little something new. A special thanks to the as yet unidentified lady who brought Apple-logo-shaped cookies for all of us ~ they were very delicious. We were doubly thrilled to have several (6) former members ReJOIN as well as two (2) members ReNEW their memberships prior to/during the event. +14 individuals were in attendance. The Apple gift card raffle prize went to one of the re-Joining members whose identify was never affirmed tho presumably they were pleased with their win. K. Gleason expressed thanks to everyone who helped set up and tear down the room and of course to everyone who came out to support the Santa Barbara Apple User Group. HOUSEKEEPING REMINDER: In May 2017, SBAUG ‘general meetings” switched from a monthly to quarterly schedule which should bring us “back together” sometime August/September 2017 for the next meeting – stay tuned.

iMECHANICS SB LOCATION UPDATE: Within a week to 10 days after SBAUG’s May 2017 meeting – rumors were circulating that iMechanics|powered by SecurePro vacated its Santa Barbara store in the former MacMechanic location and relocated to a new location on Milpas St. Representatives with the business have been contacted and their response is pending whether or not they are going to continue to support customers with Apple-branded devices.

Please join us on May 4th for SBAUG’s first in its new series of “quarterly” meetings in the Multi-purpose Room at the Goleta Branch Library located at 500 North Fairview Avenue ~ Goleta, CA. Time: 6:00–8:00 (8:30?) p.m. Click HERE for directions.

The traditional Q&A ‘Everything Apple” period will open the evening and the ever popular Apple-Gift-Card drawing ($25 card) will follow the featured presentation. (Drawing tickets are available to SBAUG Members only and each member-in-good-standing (MIGS) in attendance receives two (2) complimentary tickets and can purchase more tickets for $3 each or five tickets for $10.)
