Denise Rodriquez listens attentatively as Michelle Bone presents

Meeting Summary. . .
Michelle Bone, Adjunct Librarian at the Luria Library (SBCC) discussed and demonstrated lesser known research options available online as well at local libraries.  Notable during the well-received presentation – which included many visuals on the large screen – were the abilities of Google search, for instance, what’s available via “Advanced Search” and what’s not so commonly known about what’s available online at the Santa Barbara Public Library and its extensive databases. What was particularly interesting was what is available at the Luria Library, especially for those who have a pipeline account at SBCC. This last resource is available to anyone who enrolls in a free course at SBCC Career Skills Institute, as well as on campus students, and has the added attraction of qualifying the holder for an Amazon prime student rate.

Major kudos to SBAUG Member Denise Rodriguez for reaching out to Ms. Bone in the first place and who, for a 2nd time, most generously bestowed her Apple Gift Card drawing prize to the evening’s presenter!
